‘I Slept in Dangote Cement Factory on Natasha’s Wedding Day’ – Akpabio |
Senate President Godswill Akpabio has revealed that he spent the night at the Dangote Cement factory in Obajana, Kogi State, on the wedding day of Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan.
Akpabio made this disclosure while addressing the sexual harassment allegations leveled against him by the Kogi Central Senator. He emphasized his close relationship with Senator Natasha and her husband, describing the latter as a good friend.
The Senate President explained that he slept at the factory because the lighting at the Kogi airport was in poor condition, making it unsafe for travel.
Akpabio’s statement came in response to the recommendations made by the Senate Committee on Ethics, Privileges, and Public Petitions regarding the ongoing dispute between him and Senator Natasha.
The committee also recommended that Senator Natasha apologize to the Senate for what it described as “disrespecting the Senate.” Additionally, the committee proposed that her salary and security details be withdrawn during the suspension period.
Furthermore, the committee advised that Senator Natasha should not be seen around the National Assembly premises throughout the duration of her suspension.
This development adds another layer to the ongoing controversy between the Senate President and Senator Natasha, as the Senate continues to address the allegations and recommendations.
