Lagos Government Announces Traffic Diversion for Access Bank Marathon Today |
The Lagos State Government has announced temporary traffic diversions across key routes in the state to facilitate the smooth conduct of the Access Bank Lagos City Marathon, scheduled to take place today. The annual marathon, which attracts thousands of participants and spectators, is aimed at promoting fitness, healthy living, and tourism in the city.
Motorists are advised to use alternative routes as major roads, including the Third Mainland Bridge, Lekki-Ikoyi Link Bridge, and parts of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, will be partially or fully closed during the event. The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) has deployed officials to strategic locations to ensure minimal disruption and assist commuters in navigating the diversions.
Residents and visitors are encouraged to plan their movements ahead of time and cooperate with traffic officials to ensure a seamless experience for all. The state government has also urged participants and spectators to adhere to safety guidelines and enjoy the event, which showcases Lagos as a hub for sports and entertainment.
