Zamfara Governor Comforts Flood-Displaced Gummi Residents, Vows Aid

Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara State has expressed deep sorrow over the devastating floods that have displaced numerous residents in Gummi Local Government Area. The heavy rainfall on Friday triggered widespread flooding, causing significant damage to homes and properties.
In a statement by his spokesperson, Sulaiman Bala Idris, Governor Lawal conveyed his heartfelt sympathy to the affected community. He assured the residents of Gummi that the state government is committed to providing immediate relief and support.
"This is a heartbreaking situation, and our thoughts are with everyone affected by the floods," Governor Lawal said. "We have already dispatched a team to assess the damage and coordinate relief efforts. We will do everything in our power to help those whose lives have been disrupted by this disaster."
The governor further pledged to explore long-term measures to prevent similar occurrences in the future.
