"Wizkid Inspired Me, I've Been Eager to Collaborate with Him" – Asake 

Afrobeats artist Ahmed Ololade, widely known as Asake, has shared that his Grammy-winning peer, Wizkid, is a major inspiration for his music.

He expressed this sentiment while celebrating their collaboration on his newly-released third studio album, ‘Lungu Boy.’

In a note accompanying their joint track ‘MMS’ on digital streaming platforms, Asake revealed his long-standing desire to work with Wizkid.

He wrote: “It’s no secret that Wizkid is one of my music inspirations. As a young, aspiring artist in Lagos, I’ve been waiting for the right song, so when the opportunity came, it was a no-brainer.

“‘MMS’ stands for ‘Mr Money Sound’ and it represents my musical journey.”
