| Renowned Gospel Music Artist Aduke Gold Passes Away |
Nigerian gospel music artist, Aduke Ajayi, popularly known as Aduke Gold, has passed away.
The sad news was announced on Tuesday by fellow gospel artist, Esther Igbekele, who shared a tribute on social media along with a picture of Aduke Gold.
She wrote, “A general has fallen. ADUKE GOLD #rip”
The cause of her death has not been confirmed at the time of this report.
Aduke grew up in the Ogba and Badagry areas of Lagos and was the 11th child of her late parents.
She began her professional music career in 2004 and gained recognition with her live performance at the first remembrance of the late gospel artist, Baba Are.
One of her well-known tracks, “Nitori Ogo,” released in 2021, also brought her into the spotlight.
In addition to her impressive musical career, Aduke held a degree in History and International Studies from Lagos State University and a postgraduate degree in Child Psychology from the United Kingdom.
