Nigerian long jump star, Ese Brume, has pledged to recover from her disappointing performance at the 2024 Olympic Games.
Brume, who was one of Nigeria’s top medal contenders for Paris 2024, did not meet expectations.
The 27-year-old, who won a bronze medal in the women’s long jump three years ago, finished in fifth place this time.
The Commonwealth champion admitted that injuries affected her performance.
“To be honest, it was an amazing experience for me,” Brume told Making of Champions.
“Reflecting on my journey, I didn’t compete much this year due to injuries.
“Even today, I competed with an injury, but I’m grateful to have come this far. I’m proud of myself and thankful to God.”
