Officers from the Ogun State Police Command have detained a notorious cultist, Adekunle Adebajo, also known as "Kunle Poly," in connection with the alleged murder of a rival cult member in Ijebu Ode.

Reports indicate that a clash between rival cults led to the death of the victim, identified as 'Mosquito,' who was reportedly shot, attacked with a machete, and had his left hand severed and taken by his assailants.

Kunle Poly, suspected to be involved in Mosquito's murder, was arrested on August 12 at 12:03 a.m. in his hideout located in Isiwo, Ijebu.

Kunle Poly confessed to being a member of the Eiye confraternity.

During a search of his residence, police recovered a Beretta pistol with six live rounds of ammunition, two UTC axes, and various charms.

When SaharaReporters reached out to the command's spokesperson, SP Omolola Odutola, to verify if the suspect is the well-known Kunle Poly of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), she replied, "I don't know who the original Kunle Poly is. The one we arrested is Adekunle Adebajo."
