NYSC Moves Bauchi Orientation Camp |
The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has announced the relocation of the orientation camp for the 2024 Batch ‘B’ Stream II corps members to Adamu Tafawa Balewa College of Education in Kangere, Bauchi State.
This information was revealed in a statement by the NYSC Coordinator in Bauchi State, Mrs. Rifkatu Yakubu, on Monday.
Yakubu stated that the relocation is a temporary measure to enable the rehabilitation of the Permanent Orientation Camp in Wailo, Ganjuwa Local Government Area, as directed by Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed.
The governor has mandated a complete renovation of the existing camp facilities.
“The move to the new facility is necessary to allow the state government to carry out the renovation work on the permanent orientation camp,” Yakubu explained.
The NYSC has assigned 1,900 prospective corps members to Bauchi State for the orientation exercise, which is scheduled to run from August 28 to September 17.
Yakubu also advised the prospective corps members to avoid traveling at night and to break their journeys if needed, continuing their travel the following day to ensure their safety.
