The gospel music community is mourning the loss of fast-rising gospel minister, Aduke Ajayi, popularly known as Aduke Gold.
Aduke Gold’s breakthrough single, “Nitori Ogo” (translated as ‘Because of Glory’), featured on her popular eight-track album, received widespread acclaim on social media.
Aduke Gold once shared her inspiring journey on Instagram, detailing her early struggles.
From selling slippers, yam, and fried fish in her early days, to facing numerous hardships, she recounted how these challenges shaped her music career.
This news has prompted numerous tributes and reactions from fellow gospel ministers, including Esther Igbekele. The cause of Aduke Gold’s death remains unknown at the time of this report.
Esther posted a tribute with Aduke Gold’s picture and the caption: “A general has fallen. RIP.”
Other musicians have also started sharing their tributes on social media.
Aduke’s passing comes shortly after the recent loss of another gospel artist.
Egbin Orun was reported dead on April 28, 2024.
Her death was also confirmed by Esther Igbekele via an Instagram post.
