Kano Airport Cleaner Returns $10,000 Found in Aircraft |
Auwal Dankode, an employee of the Nigeria Aviation Handling Company (NAHCO), has been praised for his honesty after returning $10,000 found on an aircraft.
Dankode, who works at Malam Aminu Kano International Airport in Kano, discovered the sum, equivalent to about N16 million, while cleaning the plane.
Security analyst and counter-insurgency expert Zagazola Makaman shared on the X platform that Dankode immediately reported the cash to the airline company’s manager, initiating a search for the rightful owner.
Dankode’s prompt action has earned him widespread admiration and commendation. According to Zagazola, Dankode, a native of Kode in Kano State, is known for his strong fear of God and unwavering integrity.
This selfless act has underscored the importance of honesty and accountability in the workplace. As investigations continue to identify the owner of the lost money, Zagazola noted that “Auwal’s actions serve as a shining example of the positive impact that even small acts of kindness can have.”
