Controversial crossdresser Idris Okuneye, better known as Bobrisky, has firmly stated that he is not an ex-convict despite serving a jail term, and he plans to continue spraying money.

Bobrisky was released from the Kirikiri Correctional Centre on August 5 after spending six months in custody.

In April, a Federal High Court in Lagos sentenced him to jail without the option of a fine after he pleaded guilty to charges of naira abuse brought by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

Justice Abimbola Awogboro, while delivering the sentence, mentioned that the judgment was intended to serve as a deterrent to others who misuse and deface the Nigerian currency.

In an interview on ‘Curiosity Made Me Ask’ hosted by popular skitmaker Isbae_u, Bobrisky denied being an ex-convict. He also declared his intention to continue spraying money, but in dollars instead of naira.

"I am not an ex-convict because I was not convicted for spraying money. I won't accept that label. I will still spray money, but it will be in dollars," he responded to Isbae_u, who humorously referred to him as an ex-convict and ex-money sprayer.

Bobrisky also described his prison time as a period of rest, likening it to a vacation.

"I have been working so hard, and I think their decision was okay for me. Their intention was to break me, but nothing happened to me," he added.
