The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has officially announced the appointment of Bruno Labbadia as the new head coach for the Super Eagles.
Effective immediately, the German tactician will take over the reins of Nigeria’s senior men’s national team. The announcement was made early Tuesday morning via a tweet from the NFF’s official X handle, #thenff.
The statement read, “The Nigeria Football Federation has confirmed that it has reached an agreement with Bruno Labbadia to become the Head Coach of the Super Eagles.”
According to the federation’s General Secretary, Dr. Mohammed Sanusi, “The NFF Executive Committee has approved the recommendation of its Technical and Development sub-committee to appoint Mr. Bruno Labbadia as the Head Coach of the Super Eagles.”
Labbadia steps in as the 37th Head Coach of the Super Eagles, following the resignation of former coach Finidi George.
This appointment concludes the long-standing speculation regarding the new leadership for the Super Eagles.
