Ola Aina's participation in Nigeria's upcoming 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers is in doubt after suffering a calf injury.

The Nottingham Forest defender was forced off the pitch during his side's Premier League match against Bournemouth on Saturday. The 27-year-old has a history of injuries, having missed Nigeria's 2026 World Cup qualifiers earlier this year due to a similar issue.

The Super Eagles are set to face Benin Republic at home on September 7th before traveling to Rwanda for their second qualifier three days later. Aina's availability for both matches remains uncertain.
