Spanish goalkeeper David de Gea’s potential return to Manchester United has been blocked.
De Gea was prepared to re-join Manchester United if manager Erik ten Hag departed, but the goalkeeper is now poised to join another club.
The 33-year-old confided in his inner circle that he would be willing to return to Old Trafford if both Ten Hag and John Murtough were no longer present, according to The Athletic.
Although Murtough has left, Ten Hag has signed a new contract.
As a result, De Gea is now expected to announce his move to a different club in the coming days.
He has several options available, including clubs in Saudi Arabia, the United States, and Italy.
De Gea departed Manchester United after the 2022/23 season.
