The Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi Foundation is currently holding its annual ‘zikr’ prayer session at the Nassarawa mini palace. This prayer session, conducted during the last week of the Islamic calendar, seeks divine intervention for the nation's peace and prosperity under the guidance of the Supreme Council of the Tijjaniyya movement in Nigeria, led by Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi.

Sayyadi Ibrahim Dahiru Usman Bauchi represents the leader of the Tijjaniyya movement in Nigeria. According to Daily Trust, the Friday ‘dhikr’ is a regular practice for Tijjaniyya followers, observed every Friday from Asr to Maghrib prayers.

Historically, in Kano, the Supreme Leader Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi met with the 13th Emir of Kano, the late Alhaji Ado Bayero, to seek his approval for the Friday dhikr aimed at praying for the country's peace and stability every Muharram, the first month of the Islamic calendar. This initiative has since become an annual reunion, fostering unity among Muslims.

Muslim communities from around the world gather in Kano annually to participate in the Friday dhikr with the emir. This year's event saw attendees from Sokoto, Nguru in Yobe State, Bauchi, Zaria, Kebbi, Gombe, and other regions.

The 15th Emir of Kano, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero, graciously hosted the visitors.
