Finidi George |
Rivers United head coach, Finidi George, has reaffirmed his commitment to making a significant impact at the club.
Finidi assumed the role at Rivers United earlier this month following a brief tenure with the Super Eagles.
The 53-year-old is tasked with revitalizing the Port Harcourt club after a disappointing season in the Nigeria Premier Football League.
The former winger expressed his goal of transforming Rivers United into a powerhouse in both Nigerian and African football.
“I see this as a new chapter and a challenge I welcome. My aim is to help the club grow and become a dominant force in Nigerian and African football,” he shared in an exclusive interview with SportsBoom.
“I’m excited about the club’s vision and see immense potential for growth and success. The club’s ambitions align with mine, and I believe we can achieve great things together.”
Finidi’s first official match in charge of Rivers United will be an away game against Bendel Insurance next month.
