Anjola Femi, a Nigerian graduate of Chemical Engineering, has been financially rewarded by the crypto community after returning $14,000 (over N21 million) that was mistakenly sent to his account by a foreign crypto trader.

Anjola was reported to have received over N7.5 million from netizens who were impressed by his honesty in returning the mistakenly credited amount. The foreign crypto trader, identified as Raffayalvi, took to his X (formerly Twitter) handle to publicize Anjola’s integrity. Following this, netizens requested Anjola’s crypto wallet address and began sending him money in appreciation.

The mix-up occurred when the crypto dealer attempted to send Anjola a $100 prize but mistakenly transferred $14,000 instead. Upon realizing the error, the trader immediately contacted Anjola, who promptly returned the entire sum.

On Tuesday, Anjola shared his crypto wallet balance on social media, showing the influx of credit alerts. At the time of the post, the total amount received in appreciation had exceeded $5,000 (over N7.5 million).

In a video, Anjola explained how the foreign crypto trader mistakenly sent him the money. He mentioned that he had won $100 (over N150,000) worth of Solana from the trader. Anjola emphasized that he returned the money because it did not belong to him, showcasing his strong principles and integrity.
