 ‘My Mom Was a Baddie’ – Davido 

Afrobeats sensation, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has shared a heartfelt tribute to his late mother, Veronica Hailey Imade Adeleke, describing her as a “baddie.”

The ‘OBO’ hitmaker made this revelation while reminiscing about his mother in a recent Instagram post.

Posting a picture of his late mom in her academic regalia, Davido wrote: “My mom was a baddie.”

DAILY POST recalls that Davido’s mother, Mrs. Veronica Adeleke, passed away on March 6, 2003, at the age of 39.

She was a lecturer at Babcock University, where Davido would later earn a degree in music.

In honor of her son, she also founded a band called ‘Davido’s Band.’

Davido’s two daughters, Imade and Hailey, are named after her.
