The Police Public Relations Officer of the Lagos State Command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, has criticized rising singer Ayo Maff for the "indecent" lyrics in his new song 'Last Week.'
In the opening verse, the singer boasts about using Canadian Loud, a potent synthetic strain of cannabis, at the start of the week and contacting his dealer on Saturday after running out of the substance.
Reacting to a viral snippet of the song on X, SP Hundeyin expressed concern over the lyrics.
He stated that half of the youths in prison wouldn't be there if they didn't engage in drug abuse.
He emphasized that illicit drugs are a precursor to crime.
The PPRO wrote, "He does what on Mondays and Saturdays? Help me listen.
"Like Asa said, there is fire on the mountain and nobody seems to be on the run...
"Fact: Half of the young ones in prison today wouldn't be there if they didn't do drugs. Drugs are a precursor to everything bad.
