| Kaduna Government Refutes Suicide Bomb Reports on Kaduna-Abuja Highway |
The Kaduna State Government has dismissed claims of a suicide bomb attack along the Kaduna-Abuja highway on Wednesday.
In a statement, Samuel Aruwan, the overseeing commissioner for the Ministry of Internal Security and Home Affairs, clarified, “We have been made aware of reports alleging a suicide attack or similar incident on the Kaduna-Abuja Road.”
The Ministry confirmed that, as of the latest update, no such incident, including a suicide attack, had occurred on the Kaduna-Abuja Road.
The statement further elaborated that security forces and intelligence sources along the route are in continuous communication with the government, supported by ongoing physical inspections and security assessments.
It emphasized that the reports of such an incident are incorrect.
The statement assured that security agencies deployed along the Kaduna-Abuja Road and the surrounding area will continue to monitor and fully engage all protocols to ensure the safety of citizens and commuters.
