John Cena Announces Retirement from WWE

WWE icon John Cena has announced his plans to retire from in-ring competition.

During WWE Money in the Bank in Toronto, Canada, the 16-time world champion revealed that he will step away from the sport in 2025.

Cena specified that the 2025 Royal Rumble, Elimination Chamber, and WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas will mark his final appearances.

Wearing a ‘John Cena Farewell Tour 2025’ shirt, the WWE legend stated, “I’ve been with WWE for over two decades. During this time, I’ve witnessed incredible success, like what we’re experiencing now. WWE is the hottest ticket in town, but I’ve also faced tough times when no one knew my name, and only the most dedicated fans stood by me.”

He also mentioned his desire to be involved when Raw transitions to Netflix in January.

Cena, who debuted in WWE in 2002, has taken on a more part-time role since 2018 to focus on his movie career.
