Former Arsenal goalkeeper Jens Lehmann has outlined two reasons why he believes Germany will triumph over Spain in their Euro 2024 quarter-final clash on Friday.
Both teams advanced to the last-8 after defeating Denmark and Georgia in the round of 16.
When asked why he thinks Germany will prevail, Lehmann told Welt that Spain, known as La Roja, are "too small in size and very inexperienced."
“In tournaments, it often happens that a team as highly praised as Spain, despite their impressive results, suddenly falters,” Lehmann explained.
“They are too small in size and very inexperienced, essentially a youth team.”
He added, “I have provided several technical reasons why we [Germany] can win against Spain.”
