Belgium: Club Brugge's Season Begins with a Loss 

Super Eagles midfielder Raphael Onyedika had a challenging start to the new season as Club Brugge fell 2-1 to Union St. Gilloise in the Belgian Super Cup.

The Super Cup marked the beginning of the new league season in Belgium, which kicks off next weekend.

Onyedika began the closely contested match on the bench.

The 23-year-old replaced Casper Nielsen four minutes before the hour mark.

Cameron Puertas put Club Brugge ahead from the penalty spot five minutes before halftime, but Fedde Laysen equalized just two minutes into the second half.

Christos Tzolis managed to narrow the gap for Club Brugge with a goal 11 minutes before the final whistle.
