Dr. Ahmad Sindhi, Chairman of the Mu’assasa group (Ithraa Al Khair), has hailed the 2024 Hajj as the most successful in recent years.

He credited this success to the collective efforts and dedication of all involved, particularly highlighting the commitments made by his company and the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) under the leadership of Malam Jalal Ahmad Arabi.

Dr. Sindhi made these remarks during an end-of-Hajj dinner hosted by Ithraa Al Khair Company of Mutawwifs, also known as Mu’assasa, for NAHCON.

According to a statement by Fatima Sanda Usara, Assistant Director of Public Affairs at the Commission, the event took place at the Crowne Plaza in Jeddah over the weekend.

The dinner was attended by Executive Secretaries and Chairmen of State Pilgrims Welfare Boards/Agencies/Commissions, Private Tour Operators, and other guests.

The event celebrated the successes and innovations introduced during this year’s pilgrimage.

“We made promises and challenged ourselves,” said Dr. Sindhi. “As a result of our dialogues, I am honored and satisfied to stand before you, having delivered on every bit of these promises.”

Dr. Sindhi revealed that Ithraa Al Khair brought 60 chefs from Nigeria to prepare specialized meals for the country’s pilgrims.

He expressed pride in seeing pilgrims praying in their air-conditioned tents in Arafat, with ample food and water available.

Dr. Sindhi emphasized the elevated standards set by Ithraa Al Khair, noting that the unique tents in Arafat and exceptional services provided during the pilgrimage were widely appreciated, even by competitors. He also highlighted significant improvements in Muzdalifa.

The Mu’assasa Chairman mentioned that his firm invested nearly $200 million to develop Mina tents.

Dr. Sindhi praised NAHCON Chairman Malam Jalal Arabi and other prominent NAHCON staff for their dedication.

In appreciation, Dr. Sindhi presented gifts to NAHCON for their partnership and thanked the Nigerian state delegations for their cooperation in making the Hajj a success.

NAHCON Chairman Malam Jalal Ahmad Arabi declared the 2024 Hajj a successful accomplishment.

He stated that the general consensus was that the Hajj was a success.

“Where there was substantial progress, we congratulate ourselves. If it was not uniform, we learn from it and move forward,” he said.

He noted that while there were excess camp spaces, the inability to channel complaints through the right channels prevented full utilization.

He urged stakeholders to collaborate in addressing noticeable challenges, emphasizing that bickering and accusations are time-consuming and costly in a time-sensitive assignment like Hajj.
