| Vice President Shettima's Mother-In-Law Interred in Kano |
Hajiya Maryam Albishir, the mother-in-law of Vice President Kashim Shettima, was interred in Kano State.
The interment took place after funeral prayers at her family home and was witnessed by relatives and acquaintances.
Hajiya Maryam Albishir, who passed away at the age of 69, was the mother to Hajiya Nana Shettima, the Vice President's spouse.
The ceremony was marked by the attendance of a significant number of kin, friends, and colleagues.
In attendance were dignitaries such as the Governor of Kano State, Abba Kabir Yusuf; the Acting Governor of Borno State, Hon. Umar Usman Kadafur; the Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Sen. Abubakar Kyari; and the Minister of State for Steel Development, Uba Maigari Ahmadu.
Also present were members of the National Assembly, the former Governor of Borno State, Sen. Ali Modu Sheriff, and past deputy governors of Borno State.
