Two Students of Nigerian Polytechnic in Bida Discovered Deceased in Room

The community of the Federal Medical Centre (FMC) quarters in Bida, within the Bida Local Government Area of Niger State, experienced shock on Sunday morning upon finding two deceased individuals, a male and female, presumed to be a couple, inside a room.

SaharaReporters received confirmation from several sources that the individuals, a student named Akin and his partner, Aisha, were located in Akin's room.

A local resident, who provided information on the matter, suggested that the cause of death may have been poisoning, as indicated by the foam found around their mouths.

The two were identified as students of the Federal Polytechnic Bida, according to another source.

Additionally, it was verified that earlier on Wednesday, police had moved the bodies to the morgue.

Attempts to gather comments from the institution's administration were unsuccessful, with no formal communication from either the school officials or the police forthcoming at the time this report was published.
