During the Eid-el Kabir celebrations, bandits launched an attack on Tudun Doki village within the Gwadabawa Local Government Area of Sokoto State, resulting in at least six fatalities.

The incident, which occurred in the early morning hours of Sunday, was confirmed by Ahmed Rufai, the Sokoto State police command's spokesperson. Rufai reported that six bodies were found following the assault, but the total number of kidnapped individuals remains undetermined.

Rufai described the challenges in reaching the remote village, noting, "The village's distance from the main town makes vehicle access very difficult. Our operatives typically travel there by motorcycle.

"At this time, we have confirmation of six deaths. The attack took place early today, coinciding with mosque attendance, preventing immediate field investigation. The six victims were transported to a hospital and pronounced dead.

"The DPO and his team are currently deployed to verify the count of those kidnapped," he added.
