Police Recruitment: PSC Affirms Validity of Successful Candidates' List

The Police Service Commission (PSC) has reaffirmed its stance not to annul the recently published list of successful candidates for the constable positions in the Nigeria Police Force.

This was made public through a statement on Tuesday by PSC's Head of Press and Public Relations, Mr. Ikechukwu Ani.

DAILY POST remembers that the Nigeria Police Force had claimed the recruitment was tainted with corruption, noting that the final list included individuals who did not apply.

Following this, there were speculations that PSC yielded to the NPF's pressure and revoked the list of successful candidates.

However, Ani clarified on Tuesday that such a statement was not issued by PSC and advised the public to "ignore such claims."

He maintained that the recruitment was executed according to the appropriate guidelines and legal provisions.

Ani also mentioned that the commission had completed regular updates to its portal that lists the successful candidates.

"The commission has the situation under control and has reinstated the original content of the recruitment portal.

Candidates who passed are encouraged to disregard the misleading actions of certain factions attempting to undermine the commission's efforts.

The commission is dedicated to providing the country with a recruitment process based on merit and inclusivity.

It remains committed to upholding federal character, gender balance, and merit as the foundation of its recruitment practices," he stated.
