Senator Orji Uzor Kalu of Abia North has conveyed to President Bola Tinubu the plight of hunger among Nigerians.
While acknowledging Tinubu's achievements in certain economic sectors, Kalu emphasized the need for further improvements.
In a discussion with Channels Television, Kalu highlighted the necessity for fiscal strategies that would boost food production.
"The president has certainly excelled in some respects, yet there is room for enhancement in numerous other sectors. I am a straightforward individual, unafraid of confrontation and a proponent of honesty.
"President Tinubu has performed admirably in certain aspects, but when it comes to nourishing our populace, there is a palpable hunger, which I cannot overlook.
"His policies on economics and finance have been commendable.
"However, regarding fiscal policies, we need to increase our food production. It's essential that we focus on growing more food."
