Nigerian Pilgrim Reportedly Takes Own Life in Saudi Arabia |
Hajia Hawawu Mohammed, a Nigerian pilgrim hailing from Kwara State, is believed to have taken her own life.
The Kwara State Muslim Pilgrims Board suspects she committed suicide from the rooftop of her lodging in Madina.
The board also reported the passing of Saliu Mohammed, a fellow pilgrim, in the intensive care unit of a Madina hospital.
He had reportedly traveled to the sacred city with the third batch of the state's pilgrims.
The board expressed its profound sorrow over these tragic incidents, acknowledging the divine wisdom and decree of Allah in all matters.
Abdulsalam Abdulkadir, the Executive Secretary of the board, extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and prayed for Allah's mercy and forgiveness for the departed.
