Inter Miami's celebrated player, Lionel Messi, has attributed his exceptional football talent to divine selection.
In a conversation about his innate abilities, Messi acknowledged that he has always endeavored to fully utilize the natural gift he possesses.
The 37-year-old, who is currently representing Argentina in the Copa América in the US, shared his perspective with Argentine podcaster Juan Pablo Varsky.
"I've always been aware that my ability is a divine choice. It's a blessing I received. I've made every effort to maximize this gift," Messi said.
He added, "Truthfully, despite all my efforts, I didn't do anything special to become the player I was already destined to be since childhood."
Messi's journey began at Newell’s Old Boys, and by the age of 13, he was part of Barcelona's youth squad.
His illustrious career is marked by unparalleled achievements, including eight Ballon d’Or titles and a total of 44 trophies, the latest being the 2023 Leagues Cup with Inter Miami.
