Kano State Police Arrest 19 Suspects for Alleged Crimes |
The Kano State Police Command has apprehended 19 suspects involved in armed robbery, cattle rustling, and kidnapping across various parts of the state.
According to a statement issued by the command's spokesperson, SP Abdullahi Kiyawa, the suspects include:
1. Auwal Fulani (27 years old)
2. Abdullahi Salisu (28 years old)
3. Halilu Adamu (37 years old)
4. Abdulkarim Harisu (37 years old)
5. Alhassan Abubakar (20 years old)
6. Sani Abdullahi (45 years old)
7. Tasiu Jamilu (25 years old)
8. Sani Muhammad (45 years old)
9. Auwal Umar (25 years old)
10. Usman Abdullahi (26 years old)
11. Mustapha Umar (25 years old)
12. Nazifi Abdullahi (30 years old)
13. Isa Abbas (21 years old)
14. Junaidu Hamisu (33 years old)
15. Abdulrazak Aliyu (22 years old)
The weapons recovered from the suspects include 2 AK-47 rifles, one Smoke Pistol, one Pump Action rifle, 26 rounds of 7.2mm live ammunition, 17 live cartridges, 2 motor vehicles, 16 rams, dangerous weapons, and house-breaking implements.
The State Police Command's diligent crime prevention patrols played a crucial role in achieving this feat, ensuring the safety and security of residents across all areas of the state. The suspects are currently undergoing detailed investigation at the Criminal Investigation Department, after which they will be charged to court.
