In response to insecurity, the military high command has initiated new commands in Kaduna State.

The newly established commands are situated in Samaru Zango-Kataf, Giwa, and Birnin-Gwari. In addition, the Air Force plans to set up a base in Millennium City within the Chikun Local Government Area.

The Southern Kaduna Journalists’ Forum (SKJF) has commended the joint efforts of Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State and the Chief of Defense Staff, General Christopher Musa, in addressing the state's security challenges.

A statement released by SKJF's chairman and secretary, Ango Bally and Lilian Silas, and shared with the press in Kaduna, conveyed the forum's satisfaction with the military bases' establishment.

The statement highlighted that these critical developments are expected to significantly mitigate the ongoing issues of banditry, kidnapping, and other security threats, thereby boosting agricultural operations within the state.

The forum remains hopeful that the addition of more military forces will greatly enhance security and allow farmers to work their fields without fear, particularly in areas such as Maro-Kajuru, Kauru, Sanga, Giwa, and Birnin Gwari, which have been plagued by continuous banditry incidents.
