| Hajj: Kebbi Pilgrim Passes Away in Makkah |
The death of a pilgrim from Kebbi State in Makkah, Saudi Arabia, has been confirmed by the Kebbi State Pilgrims Welfare Board.
The Kebbi Hajj 2024 Media Team made the announcement through a statement on Sunday.
Alhaji Faruku Aliyu-Enabo, the board's Executive Chairman, revealed that the pilgrim, Abubakar Abdullahi from Gulma in the Argungu Local Government Area, passed away after a short illness.
Aliyu-Enabo mentioned that Governor Nasir Idris is mourning the loss and has prayed for Abdullahi, seeking Allah's mercy to pardon his sins and admit him into Jannatul Firdaus.
"The governor also consoled the bereaved family, friends, and fellow Kebbi pilgrims, advising them to accept God Almighty's decree with faith," Aliyu-Enabo added.
According to him, Abdullahi was laid to rest following Islamic customs after the funeral prayer at Masjid Al-Ihram (Ka’aba) on Friday.
This event comes after the demise of another pilgrim from Kebbi, Tawalkatu Busare Alako of Jega Local Government Area, who died on May 27, 2024, due to illness.
Additionally, on May 28, 2024, Oloshogbo Idris, a pilgrim from Lagos, passed away in Makkah after completing the Tawaf of the Holy Kaaba.
