| Hajj: Kano State Inaugurates Its Clinic in Makkah |
The Kano State Government has inaugurated its own clinics in Makkah, Saudi Arabia, to ensure its pilgrims receive proper medical care.
As reported by Daily Trust, the state has sent 3110 pilgrims to this year's hajj.
Ibrahim Garba Shu’aibu, the Head of the Media team for Kano pilgrims, stated that the clinic is designed to support the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) clinic.
"NAHCON officials have inspected the clinic and have endorsed its operation," she remarked.
She also mentioned that Kano is the singular state in Nigeria that has received NAHCON's consent to establish a clinic for its pilgrims in Makkah.
During their stay, the pilgrims will engage in several days of religious activities, which include walking around the Kaaba, offering prayers at the Grand Mosque, and partaking in animal sacrifices.
The Hajj, a central pillar of Islam, is a mandatory religious duty for Muslims who have the physical and financial means to undertake the journey at least once in their lifetime.
