Gombe Governor Names New Principal Secretary |
Governor Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe State has confirmed the appointment of Professor Mu’azu Shehu Usman as his principal private secretary (PPS).
Concurrent key assignments were made within the state's civil service.
The head of the civil service, Ahmed Kasimu Abdullahi, announced in a statement that Usman is now the permanent secretary and principal private secretary (PPS) to the governor. Mohammed Bello Kumo has been assigned to the Office of the Head of Civil Service.
Additionally, Mohammed Usman Shanu, who previously served as director/PPS to the governor, has been transferred to the Office of the Head of Civil Service in the capacity of director.
The head of service expressed that these changes are designed to boost the civil service's productivity and responsiveness, in line with Governor Yahaya's strategic plan for a dynamic administrative structure to further the state's progress.
The new postings are effective immediately.
