Euro 2024: Paul Scholes suggests three alterations for England's lineup

Paul Scholes

Manchester United icon, Paul Scholes has suggested three alterations for England manager Gareth Southgate to consider for his starting XI during Euro 2024.

Scholes advises Southgate to position Trent Alexander-Arnold as left-back, which is one of the three changes he recommends for England's upcoming final group match against Slovenia on Tuesday at Euro 2024.

Additionally, he advocates for the inclusion of Manchester United's Kobbie Mainoo and Chelsea's Cole Palmer in the midfield lineup.

His message read: "Sunday morning thoughts… TAA at left-back, Kobbie Mainoo in central midfield, Palmer on the right… would explain, but there are too many sensitive folks around."

England stands with four points in Group C, having secured a 1-0 victory over Serbia and a 1-1 tie with Denmark.

Scholes shared these views in a post on his Instagram story.
