Phil Foden |
Manchester City are poised to present Phil Foden with a new contract proposal, reportedly amounting to an impressive £375,000 weekly, as per the UK Sun.
Last season saw Foden emerge as City’s pivotal creative force, especially during Kevin De Bruyne's absence due to injury.
The young 24-year-old concluded the season with 19 goals in the Premier League and contributed eight assists, helping his team secure an unprecedented fourth straight league title.
Additionally, the English midfielder received the FWA Footballer of the Year award for his first time.
Previously in 2022, Foden pledged his future to the club where he began his career, signing a five-year deal that provided him with over £200,000 a week, including bonuses.
Now, City is looking to offer him an even more lucrative deal this summer.
This new contract would establish Foden as the most highly compensated British footballer in history.
