Shoprite Mall in Wuse

The Shoprite Mall in Wuse, within Abuja's Federal Capital Territory, has declared it will cease operations from June 30, 2024.

The announcement came via a notice from the supermarket's CEO, Dr. Folakemi Fadahunsi.

The closure is attributed to an extensive review of the store's finances and the prevailing economic climate, influenced by the nation's current economic state.

The mall has informed its vendors that their services will be discontinued from the specified date.

Part of the notice stated, "It is with regret that we announce the closure of Retail Supermarkets Nigeria Limited's Wuse Store in Novare Wuse Central Mall, Abuja, effective June 30, 2024.

"After careful consideration of our financial status and the existing business environment, we've concluded that this move is necessary for the future progress of our company.

"As of June 30, 2024, we will end our operations in Wuse, Abuja, and consequently, your services for the Novare Wuse Central Mall Store will no longer be required. Be advised that all current service agreements for the store will be concluded as well."
