Admissions: JAMB's Cut-off Marks Announcement Date Set |
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has scheduled the Policy Meeting for July 18, 2024, to discuss admissions cut-off marks for tertiary institutions.
Chaired by the Minister of Education, Prof. Tahir Mamman, the meeting aims to establish minimum cut-off marks for the 2024/2025 admission cycle.
The announcement came through JAMB's weekly bulletin, released to the press on Monday in Abuja.
Expected attendees include leaders of regulatory bodies like the National University Commission (NUC) and the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE).
Also anticipated are representatives from the National Council for Colleges of Education (NCCE), heads of the nation's tertiary institutions, and the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), among others.
The Registrar is set to present reports on the recently concluded Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and the current Direct Entry (DE) applications.
Furthermore, the Registrar will review critical performance metrics that may influence government policy on admissions.
The meeting will also update stakeholders on significant issues from last year's admissions and assess this year's UTME candidate performance to set the minimum admissible score for the year.
