| Yahoo: EFCC Detains 29 Suspected Internet Fraudsters |
According to a statement from the agency, the suspects' detention was the result of credible intelligence regarding their alleged engagement in internet fraud.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Abuja Zonal Command, detained 29 individuals suspected of internet fraud on Wednesday.
The apprehensions occurred in the Apo, Gwarimpa, and Katampe regions of Abuja.
According to a statement from the agency, the suspects' detention was the result of credible intelligence regarding their alleged engagement in internet fraud.
Confiscated items from the suspects encompass 43 phones of various brands, six automobiles, and two smartwatches.
The statement further noted that the suspects would be prosecuted once the investigation is complete.
