Worshippers Feared Dead in Lagos Mosque Collapse

Several worshippers are feared dead following the collapse of a mosque in Lagos State, which occurred on Sunday.

While the full details are yet to be confirmed, the Daily Trust reports that the affected mosque is located on Yusuf Street, Papa Ajao, Mushin.

Nosa Okunbor, the Public Relations Officer for the Lagos State Emergency Management Authority (LASEMA), verified the collapse to Daily Trust, noting that a rescue operation is currently in progress.

"Our teams are present at the site. The rescue efforts are underway. That is the extent of information available at the moment," he communicated over the phone.
