The Federal Capital Territory Minister, Nyesom Wike, has acknowledged a lapse in his assessment of Rivers State Governor Sim Fubara.
Wike has sought divine and political forgiveness from his Rivers State family.
He has committed to amending the error when the time is right, while also intending to provoke his critics, leading them to further errors.
Wike's remarks came during a civic reception for Chief George Thompson Sekibo at Ogu-Bolo, marking his 36 years of public service.
Wike stated: "Let me be clear: we all err in life.
"I've erred. I accept it and ask for God's mercy. I request your forgiveness too, and we'll address it when it's due.
"Being human, I'm prone to err. So, pardon my misjudgment. Let there be no retribution."
Furthermore, Wike encouraged his state assembly supporters to resist intimidation, asserting: "Fear not. Your positions as legislators are secure.
"Many of you are unaware. Our task is to instill fear in them. That's my strategy.
"We'll continue to irritate them, causing them to falter."
