Wigwe University in the Isiokpo area of Rivers State is poised to become Nigeria's most expensive institution, with tuition fees exceeding N12 million. Founded by the late former Group Chief Executive Officer of Access Holdings, Herbert Wigwe, the university is set to officially launch its operational activities by August 2024. It will offer programs across four major colleges: the College of Arts, the College of Management and Social Sciences, the College of Science and Computing, and the College of Engineering.
Notably, the cheapest college at Wigwe University is the College of Arts, with a total fee of N9.6 million. This includes tuition, books, laboratory supplies, e-learning resources, health insurance, student membership of professional associations, student activities, and facilities maintenance. Students in the College of Engineering, College of Management and Social Sciences, and College of Science and Computing will pay a total fee of N11,998,800 each. Additionally, accommodation fees vary based on the plan chosen, ranging from the luxury single bedroom apartment plan to the classic two plan.
