Brazilian icon, Rivaldo, has expressed his support for Borussia Dortmund to triumph over Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League final.
Dortmund is set to confront Real Madrid in the Champions League final at Wembley Stadium in London on Saturday evening.
Nevertheless, Rivaldo is of the opinion that the German Bundesliga team possesses immense belief to defeat the LaLiga titleholders.
Both squads reached the Champions League final by overcoming Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich, respectively, in the semifinals.
“Some weeks back, I predicted it would be Real Madrid against Borussia, so I correctly anticipated the final,” Rivaldo shared with Betfair.
“Still, I had also forecasted that the victors would be Borussia. While Madrid are certainly the favorites, Borussia is approaching with immense belief.
They understand the dynamics of this tournament, they know how to navigate challenging matches. This was evident in the two encounters against PSG, where they secured victories in both fixtures.
“Yes, Real Madrid holds the favorite status, but my support remains with Borussia Dortmund to claim the championship title.”
