Tragedy Strikes: Two College Students Drown in Boat Accident at Thomas Dam |
The Kano State Fire Service has commenced an investigation into the cause of the incident to determine the circumstances surrounding the tragic accident
A devastating boat accident at Thomas Dam in Kano State has claimed the lives of two students from Audu Bako College of Agriculture, Makoda. Abubakar Sanusi, 22, and Salisu Ado, 21, lost their lives while attempting to cross the dam in a boat on Wednesday.
According to the Public Relations Officer of the Kano State Fire Service, Saminu Abdullahi, the victims were retrieved from the water unconscious and later succumbed to their injuries. Their colleague, Ibrahim, 21, was rescued alive and is currently receiving medical attention at Dambatta General Hospital.
