Tinubu Announces No-Cost Travel on Abuja Metro Rail Until December 31

President Bola Tinubu has declared a no-cost travel period on the newly inaugurated Abuja Rail Transport System until the year's end.

In his address at the launch event in Abuja on Wednesday, marking his first anniversary in office, Tinubu commended Nyesom Wike, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, for the "expeditious completion of the project."

Previously, Wike had indicated that the Abuja Light rail would be free of charge for a duration of two months.

This was disclosed by Wike at a ministerial press conference in Abuja, where he mentioned that the complimentary rides would start on Tuesday, as a component of the president's vision of renewed hope for the FCT inhabitants.

Nonetheless, during the inauguration ceremony, the President extended the complimentary travel period until December 31.
