Supercomputer Predicts Premier League Title Race Outcome |
The final projected table indicates that City will achieve an average of 88.7 points, while the Gunners will finish with an average of 87.8 points. Remarkably, the title race is decided by less than a single point.
The supercomputer BETSiE has utilized its algorithm to predict the outcome of the 2023/2024 Premier League title race. This probability model considers pre-season expectations, expected goals (xG) earned both for and against during the season, and all match results from the previous season (across all competitions), as well as pre-season results and the current campaign.
After 100,000 simulations, the projected probabilities are as follows:
- Arsenal has a 44.9% chance of winning the league.
- Manchester City stands at 55.1% in terms of winning probability.
The final projected table indicates that City will achieve an average of 88.7 points, while the Gunners will finish with an average of 87.8 points. Remarkably, the title race is decided by less than a single point.
As Arsenal prepares for their Sunday clash against Manchester United, they currently lead the table, thanks to their 3-0 victory over Bournemouth. However, with Manchester City still having a game in hand, the competition remains wide open. Pep Guardiola's team faces Fulham in Saturday's early kick-off and could potentially take the top spot before the crucial game at Old Trafford.
