The Nigerian Army has reported that its soldiers, engaged in counter-terrorism efforts in Kaduna, set an ambush for terrorists armed with weapons in the Birnin Gwari area.
The Army announced via a statement on its official Facebook page on Wednesday that the soldiers orchestrated an ambush near Kwaga Village targeting the terrorists, successfully taking down one of them.
The statement read: “The prompt action of the soldiers not only thwarted a possible attack on unsuspecting civilians in the vicinity but also resulted in the confiscation of two AK-47 rifles with magazines, and two motorcycles, while the soldiers are actively chasing the escaping terrorists.”
