Al-Nassr's captain, Cristiano Ronaldo, has shared his thoughts after establishing a new record for the most goals scored in a Saudi Pro League season.

The Portuguese star achieved this feat by netting two goals as Luis Castro's team triumphed over Al-Ittihad with a 4-2 victory at home on Monday, in what was their season's concluding league match.

The ex-Manchester United striker opened the scoring in the dying minutes of the first half and then doubled the lead in the second half.

Abdulrahman Ghareeb extended Al-Nassr's lead before Al-Ittihad managed to score two goals.

Nonetheless, Al-Nassr secured the win with a late goal from Meshari Al-Nemer, wrapping up their league campaign on a high note.

In response to his feat, Ronaldo stated on his Instagram:

"Records don't chase me; I chase records."

With his two goals, Ronaldo ended the season with 35 goals in the Saudi League, eclipsing the former record of 34 goals set by Abderrazak Hamdallah in the 2018–19 season.
